I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and I grew up in church and hearing the Bible but didn’t really understand it. When I was young my grandmother got diagnosed with cancer and I remember praying so hard for God to heal her but He never did, and that made me very angry with God so I ran from Him. I felt abandoned, alone, not good enough and felt like God didn’t love me because He didn’t answer my prayers but He answered others. It wasn’t until I was 14 that I had a radical encounter with God that changed the course of my life and my relationship with Jesus. I’ve always loved traveling and sharing the Gospel with people who don’t know Him personally or have never heard about Him. I have traveled to many different countries for missions trips and with each country my love for missions grew and as did the desire in my heart to help those who felt just like i did before my encounter with God.

The summer before I graduated high school I was praying about what my next step was because I knew I was called to ministry but I didn’t know what that looked like. It was that summer I went on a mission trip to Israel and while I was there we visited the place where Jesus gave the Great Commission.

As I was standing there looking out over the land and sea I heard God so clearly say I was called to share His love and truth to every person in every nation. Since then, I’ve been looking for a place to help me do just that and after lots of praying I found Mountain Gateway. After reading all about Mountain Gateway, lots of praying and hearing their vision I knew this was the place for me. I have no idea what this next season holds but i’m so excited for what God has in store for me.
